Senior Financial Advisor | Chicago, Illinois

Reference Number: HRJ7894
Location: Chicago, Illinois

Judson Group is proud to partner with a highly respected boutique wealth management firm in Chicago in the search for a Senior Financial Advisor. With nearly 400 client households and a reputation built on exceptional service, personalized advice, and long-term relationships, this growing RIA serves primarily mass affluent and high-net-worth clients with assets generally under $5 million. The firm’s culture is collaborative, client-centric, and deeply committed to delivering an outstanding wealth management experience.

We are seeking a Senior Financial Advisor to play a key role in the firm’s continued growth and client service model. This advisor will assume responsibility for approximately 150-200 established client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor. Success in this role will be driven by proactive communication, exceptional follow-through, and a genuine passion for helping clients navigate important financial decisions. While business development opportunities exist, the primary focus is on deepening existing relationships and delivering a high-touch client experience.

This role is ideal for a well-rounded advisor who combines strong financial planning and investment knowledge with a service-first mindset. You’ll work alongside an experienced team in a collaborative environment where client care is valued just as highly as technical expertise.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • You’ll inherit an established book of client relationships, allowing you to focus on advice, planning, and service rather than aggressive business development.
  • You’ll join a boutique, team-oriented firm where collaboration, integrity, and client advocacy drive every decision.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with clients who value trusted advice and personalized service.
  • You’ll be part of a firm with a strong reputation, a loyal client base, and a clear vision for the future.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Serve as the primary advisor for approximately 150-200 existing client relationships, ensuring a consistent and exceptional client experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships through proactive outreach, regular reviews, and timely follow-up.
  • Lead client meetings and deliver comprehensive financial planning advice tailored to each client’s goals and circumstances.
  • Provide guidance across investments, retirement planning, risk management, estate planning, and other wealth management needs.
  • Monitor client portfolios and collaborate with internal team members to implement investment and planning recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client outcomes and strengthen engagement with the firm’s services.
  • Partner closely with operations and client service professionals to ensure seamless execution and communication.
  • Stay current on industry developments, market trends, and planning strategies to deliver informed recommendations.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture focused on delivering exceptional client outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of client-facing wealth management, financial planning, or investment advisory experience.
  • CFP® designation strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of investment management principles and comprehensive financial planning strategies.
  • Experience managing and servicing a book of client relationships with a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to follow through on commitments and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and simplify complex financial concepts.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a genuine passion for serving clients.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, financial planning software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Highly competitive base salary + bonus opportunities
  • Full suite of benefits
