Judson Group is proud to be retained by a well-established and growing RIA with over $820MM in AUM in the search for a Senior Financial Advisor – CFP to serve as a lead advisor within its client service and financial planning team. This individual will take a hands-on role in delivering comprehensive investment and financial planning advice, strengthening existing client relationships, and identifying opportunities to expand the firm’s client base through referrals, networking, and business development.
This role also offers an opportunity to influence the broader advisory team. The Senior Financial Advisor will partner closely with leadership and colleagues across the organization, help refine and document advisory processes, lead key initiatives, and mentor team members. Success in this position requires strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to turn complex financial concepts into clear, actionable guidance.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead client relationships and provide guidance across investment management and financial planning needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships through clear, responsive, and professional communication.
- Address client needs ranging from retirement planning and investment strategies to account applications, rollovers, transfers, beneficiary updates, and other service requests.
- Guide and oversee junior advisors and team members throughout the client experience, including follow-up, documentation, and execution.
- Explain financial planning concepts, investment strategies, and firm philosophy in a clear and educational manner.
- Assess client questions and quickly identify the underlying issue, determining the most relevant information and recommendations to address it.
- Support new business development through referrals, networking, marketing initiatives, and other outreach efforts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with centers of influence and identify opportunities for mutually beneficial referrals.
- Keep leadership informed of client needs, issues, opportunities, and broader department priorities.
- Lead advisory team meetings focused on knowledge sharing, best practices, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and support members of the advisory team while reinforcing effective client service and advice practices.
- Lead assigned projects and initiatives and ensure timely completion of team responsibilities.
- Develop, document, maintain, and improve advisory procedures and workflows.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of CRM, portfolio management, financial planning, custodian, and other client-facing technology platforms.
- Research financial planning and investment topics using appropriate internal and external resources.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of relevant wealth management or financial planning experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- CFP® certification required.
- Demonstrated success generating new business through referrals, networking, or other business development activities.
- Strong investment and comprehensive financial planning knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience mentoring, training, or leading other advisors or professionals.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, time management, and project management skills.
- Ability to facilitate meetings, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects to completion.
- Collaborative leadership style with a strong sense of accountability for individual and team results.
- Self-directed and comfortable making sound decisions with limited oversight.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Advanced proficiency with CRM, portfolio management, financial planning, and related wealth management technology.
