Location: Alpharetta, Georgia

Judson Group is proud to partner with a highly collaborative, fee-only wealth management practice with over $1.7B in AUM in the search for a Senior Wealth Manager. The firm takes a unique approach to serving clients, bringing together expertise across investments, financial planning, tax, and estate planning to deliver thoughtful, integrated advice. Rather than operating within a traditional sales-driven model, the team focuses on building long-term client relationships and providing objective advice through every stage of a client’s financial life.

The Senior Wealth Manager will serve as a key technical and client-facing resource, working alongside planners, investment professionals, and outside CPAs and attorneys. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience, strong financial planning expertise, and a meaningful depth of tax knowledge. A CFP with an EA or other tax background is particularly well suited, although the firm is equally interested in accomplished CFP professionals who want to focus on complex planning rather than business development or production.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • Focus on technical advice and client outcomes, not a traditional production or sales quota.
  • Work across the full spectrum of wealth management, including investment, financial, tax, estate, insurance, education, and retirement planning.
  • Partner with experienced professionals across planning, investments, operations, and external centers of influence.
  • Serve an established client base while developing deeper, long-term relationships.
  • Work in a fiduciary, fee-only environment where advice is aligned with client interests.
  • Have room to shape your responsibilities and career path as the practice continues to evolve.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary resource for clients across their broader financial picture.
  • Lead client meetings, financial reviews, and planning discussions with existing and prospective clients.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated financial planning strategies, with particular emphasis on tax planning and wealth preservation.
  • Evaluate opportunities, risks, and planning gaps across investments, taxes, estate planning, insurance, retirement, and education.
  • Apply technical expertise to complex client situations and translate recommendations into clear, actionable advice.
  • Collaborate with financial planners, investment professionals, and operations teams to deliver a consistent client experience.
  • Coordinate with CPAs, attorneys, and other professional advisors to address complex planning needs.
  • Stay current on tax, estate planning, investment, economic, and regulatory developments affecting affluent clients.
  • Contribute to the continued development of planning processes, best practices, and the firm’s overall client experience.
  • Support select business development efforts, including participating in prospect meetings and helping identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7+ years of experience in a client-facing wealth management or financial planning role.
  • CFP, CPA, or CFA designation required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of individual and business-owner tax planning; an EA or significant tax-planning experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of complex estate planning strategies and their implementation.
  • Experience advising affluent individuals, particularly business owners and/or physicians, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with sophisticated clients.
  • Strong financial planning and analytical skills, with the ability to connect multiple areas of a client’s financial life.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with internal teams and external professional advisors.
  • Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Black Diamond, BNA, eMoney, Fidelity, and/or Schwab is helpful.
  • Experience in a fee-only or fiduciary advisory environment is preferred.
  • A team-oriented mindset and an interest in serving as a technical advisor rather than a production-focused advisor.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Very competitive base salary and bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Equity opportunity
