As a Financial Planning Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in the financial planning process—from discovery and analysis to strategy development and implementation. You’ll work alongside experienced advisors to craft sophisticated, personalized plans that help clients make confident financial decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Gather, organize, and analyze client financial data, including income, expenses, assets, liabilities, insurance, and estate documents.
  • Prepare meeting materials and clearly document client goals and evolving priorities.
  • Develop comprehensive planning analyses across cash flow, retirement, tax, insurance, education, and estate planning.
  • Build and stress-test financial plan scenarios using advanced planning software.
  • Draft clear, actionable observations and recommendations for advisor review.
  • Prepare polished, client-ready financial plan deliverables.
  • Attend client meetings alongside advisors and present planning findings as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and track implementation of planning recommendations.
  • Collaborate with clients and third-party professionals (CPAs, attorneys) to drive action and accountability.
  • Conduct annual and event-driven plan reviews reflecting life changes, tax law updates, and market conditions.
  • Monitor client progress and proactively flag material variances.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and planning systems.
  • Conduct investment and economic research to support portfolio management and client inquiries.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; CFP® designation or active enrollment in the CFP® certification program strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services.
  • Proficiency with financial planning software.
  • Strong understanding of the financial planning process and client service best practices.
  • Working knowledge of investments and portfolio management fundamentals.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with financial technology platforms and AI tools is a plus.
