    Judson Group has been retained by a respected, boutique RIA in the search for an Associate Financial Advisor. This individual will be supporting the investment research, financial planning, operations, and client service activities. The ideal candidate will have experience handling client transactions, implementing investment and financial planning recommendations, and participating in client meetings.

    This is a great opportunity for an aspiring or current CFP to progress to a lead advisor role with a privately held RIA that has a large client focus in academia. There is a path to partnership and the firm seeks to compensate team members in the top quartile.

    Responsibilities:

    • Build and maintain client relationships in partnership with the Senior Advisors.
    • Track investment performance and monitor manager array for any changes or updates.
    • Attend meetings held by the Senior Advisors with clients and prospects; eventually conduct solo meetings with clients as appropriate.
    • Work with clients to ensure action items are thoroughly executed and documented.
    • Gather client data including financial constraints and goals.
    • Support investment research (Morngingstar).
    • Manage account administration, cashiering, and forms for assigned clients.
    • Attend various investment conferences and continue staying abreast of wealth industry.

    Requirements:

    • BA/BS degree required; advanced degree preferred.
    • CFP or at least significant progress toward certification (completion within one year of hire required).
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with an investment consulting/management firm, family office, or RIA.
    • Financial planning experience.
    • Experience with CRM, financial planning software, and portfolio accounting software.
    • Organized and detail oriented while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
