Judson Group is proud to partner with a premier independent, fee-based RIA firm headquartered in Glenview, IL. With approximately $1B in AUM, the firm serves a select group of high-net-worth individuals and families nationwide.
This is a rare chance to step into a meaningful advisory role at a well-established, purpose-driven RIA — one where you can focus on deep client impact rather than cold prospecting. As a Financial Advisor, you’ll inherit and nurture existing client relationships over time, building trust as you grow into the firm’s planning philosophy and culture. You’ll work side-by-side with experienced Principals and the Chief Investment Officer, gaining access to a robust support system that empowers you to deliver exceptional, comprehensive advice.
Whether or not you bring an existing book, you’ll have a stable, expanding foundation — and a clear path to grow your role, your influence, and your career.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
- Build on an established client base that will transition to you as you grow, giving you immediate purpose and long-term stability.
- Collaborate across investment, tax, and estate disciplines to deliver integrated, high-value guidance to sophisticated clients.
- Benefit from mentorship, a defined planning process, and a clear trajectory for expanding your responsibilities.
- Help families navigate life’s biggest moments — from wealth building to legacy planning — across generations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth clients and families, with relationships transitioned to you as you build expertise and rapport.
- Develop deep, multi-generational relationships rooted in trust, proactive communication, and personalized care.
- Provide guidance on estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and complex planning needs for high-net-worth households.
- Participate in prospect meetings and client events to support firm growth.
- Design, implement, and monitor comprehensive financial plans aligned with each client’s goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon.
- Advise across investment strategy, retirement planning, cash flow, tax coordination, and risk management.
- Maintain accurate, detailed client records within the firm’s CRM system.
- Partner with Client Services, Operations, and Planning teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Contribute to client meeting preparation, reports, and presentations.
- Lead annual and semi-annual client reviews, adjusting strategies as goals and life circumstances evolve.
- Adhere to all compliance, regulatory, and firm standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5–10 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related advisory role.
- Proven experience working with high-net-worth clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- CFP® designation strongly preferred.
- Series 65 or 66 license.
- Strong knowledge of investment management, financial planning strategies, estate fundamentals, and tax coordination.
- Experience with Schwab Advisor Services or comparable custodians.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with CRM and financial planning tools.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to exceptional client service.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Highly competitive base salary + bonus opportunities
- Full suite of benefits
