    Judson Group has been retained by a national wealth advisory firm in the search for a Chief Operating Officer. This individual is responsible for overseeing operations across multiple office locations, assisting in an aggressive M&A mandate, and overall management of the firm’s day-to-day operations and investment supervisory functions.

    The COO will transition to the CEO role as the firm continues to grow in the next few years. Experience with Orion is a must. The firm is headquartered in Cleveland but the COO can be based in most major metro markets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Optimize the Orion platform so it scales effectively in terms of being the core of tech stack covering trading, billing, compliance, business intelligence, reporting and other key RIA functions.
    • Manage key team members in departments including Compliance, Trading, and Investment Research.
    • Comprehensively monitor the firm’s day-to-day operations and implement necessary strategic adjustments to structure, process, systems and organizational capabilities.
    • Oversee all back-office operations functions and processes.
    • Coordinate and executive delegated compliance and supervisory activities.
    • Work to ensure maximum and efficient use of the firm’s technology resources.
    • Oversee the firm’s relationships with external resource providers & vendors.

    Requirements:

    • BA/BS Degree; advanced degree and/or designations preferred.
    • 7+ years of operations experience with a financial planning firm, family office, or RIA.
    • Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office; Orion platform experience is highly preferred.
    • Experience leading and managing teams is a must.
    • Organized and detail oriented while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

    Compensation: Competitive compensation, bonus, and benefits package

    Location: Cleveland, Ohio

    Must be able to travel to Cleveland, but open to various locations/Remote. Must be Eastern Time or Central Time.
