Judson Group has been retained by a leading holistic independent financial advisory firm in the search to add an Assistant Portfolio Manager – Fixed Income to its growing wealth management practice. This position will be best suited for an individual with expertise in fixed income strategy/allocation, short-duration fixed income portfolio management, and fixed income manager due diligence.

We are seeking strong candidates that have at least five years of hands-on fixed income experience. The role requires the construction, security selection, risk management, research, analysis and execution within multiple conservative investment strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Management of separately managed, short-duration, investment-grade fixed income portfolios, for high net worth and institutional clients
• Monitor cash levels and maturities in portfolios for redeployment
• Handle trade execution, allocation, and settlement of bond holdings
• Prepare investment review materials for client meetings
• Collaborate with the operations team on reporting to clients and accountants
• Provide due diligence on the fixed income funds on the approved fund roster
• Assist due diligence efforts on fixed income private market funds
• Provide timely commentary and investible insights on fixed income markets to portfolio managers
• Contribute to the quarterly Market Outlook
• Respond to Senior Financial Advisors regarding specific client/prospect requests for fixed income analysis

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• CFA and/or other professional designations strongly preferred
• 5+ years of Fixed Income experience, preferably as a strategist or portfolio manager for HNW clients
• Must be an outstanding communicator and self-starter
• Possess comprehensive Fixed Income and investment knowledge, as well as a thorough understanding of the wealth management industry
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Morningstar, Factset, Black Diamond, and ClearWater Analytics
