Judson Group has partnered with a highly regarded RIA that provides comprehensive financial planning and investment management in the search for a Paraplanner. This individual will be supporting the firm’s financial advisors and clients with financial planning responsibilities and processes, including meeting prep and follow-up. This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning.

The ideal candidate will have a client service mindset and a passion for financial planning and investment management. They should also exude a strong attention to detail and have a drive for both personal and firm development and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as resource for financial advisors in phases of the financial planning and investment process.
  • Build and maintain client relationships in partnership with the financial advisors.
  • Assist with advising clients about the implication of specific financial decisions.
  • Assist with advising and preparing documents for retirement cash flow projections, income and tax analysis, pension plans, and estate plans.
  • Gather, input, and analyze data in our financial planning software.
  • Attend meetings held by the financial advisors with clients and prospects.
  • Summarizes client meeting notes and provides recommended planning options with summary and forecast.
  • Work with clients to ensure action items are thoroughly executed and documented.
  • Gather client data including financial constraints and goals.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and coaching sessions.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree; advanced degree and/or designations strongly preferred.
  • 1-4 years of experience in a financial planning/investment management role.
  • Series 7 and 63/66.
  • Strong working knowledge of investment concepts such as asset allocation, retirement plans, equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and insurance-based products.
  • Experience working with financial software programs including Tamarac, Morningstar, and/or Microsoft CRM.
  • Organized and detail oriented while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
