Judson Group has partnered with a privately-held multi-family office in the search for a Chief Fiduciary Services Officer. This individual will be responsible for strategic leadership of all fiduciary services provided by the firm’s national trust company. This individual will also manage a team of fiduciary officers and trust specialists.

The ideal candidate must have proven strong management/leadership experience and have strong trust administration experience with knowledge of Trust Code and fiduciary compliance/tax issues. This person will be focused on leading the firm’s fiduciary and trust officers and will be responsible for compliance within the trust company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plan and vision for fiduciary services and offerings.
  • Manage day to day functions of Fiduciary Officers and Trust Specialists.
  • Coordinate and manage opening and closing trust processes, including reviewing trust instruments and coordinating funding.
  • Consult and advise fiduciary officers and other associates on compliance, legal, tax, investment, planning, and other matters related to administration of fiduciary accounts.
  • Responsible for the client experience related to fiduciary services.
  • Oversee the trust tax return and payment process, audit and reporting functions, and the risk and compliance functions as related to fiduciary matters.
  • Responsible for compliance, internal controls, and risk management.
  • Prepare annual audits and call reports, logs tax returns, and maintains financial loss log.
  • Lead subject matter expert on fiduciary matters.
  • Participate in fiduciary committees.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years relevant fiduciary/trust experience.
  • Advanced degrees and/or designations highly preferred (CTFA, CPA, JD)
  • Previous experience in leading a fiduciary or trust management team required.
  • Strong knowledge of Trust Code, fiduciary compliance, and tax issues.
  • Exceptional technology skills, written and verbal communication skills, and presentation abilities.

Compensation:
Base salary competitive with current base and experience level with bonus plan in addition.
