Judson Group has partnered with a growing boutique RIA in the search for a Director of Financial Planning to their team. The Director of Financial Planning will have the unique role of developing the dedication financial planning team. This is an exciting people and process management opportunity with a path to partnership.
The Director of Financial Planning is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the financial planning services of the firm. The Director of Financial Planning serves as an intermediary between the financial planning team, the Advisors, and the Management Team, as well as contributes to and establishes department processes, procedures, and protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage Financial Planning Team through hiring, training, coaching, and performance development.
- Regularly partner with the firm’s Client Service Team to ensure a cohesive and consistent financial planning experience for clients.
- Act as a liaison between the FPA team, Relationship Associates, Advisors, Operations, other team Leads and Management.
- Evaluate, design, and enhance the client experience through long-term strategic initiatives and recommendations including building a ‘tool box’ of deliverables to address common financial planning areas.
- Develop and implement the Strategic Training Plan for the Financial Planning Team.
- Maintain team policies and procedures.
- Manage and improve workflow.
- Review and analyze new products, models, software, and vendors.
- Continually evaluate service offering to clients.
- Design, administer and monitor financial planning programs to deliver an exceptional product and service to our clients.
- Manage the Financial Planning budget.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience preferably in an RIA environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- CFP required.
- Subject matter expertise in induvial tax and business tax, and/or other planning areas, i.e., estate, insurance, etc.
- Investments experience a plus.
- Strong technical and software program experience.
- Strong analytical and planning capabilities.
- A self-motivated, highly driven, and entrepreneurial personality.
- Client first approach with can-do attitude; decisive, organized, and able to multi-task.
