Judson Group has been retained by a boutique, growing RIA in the search for a Chief Investment Officer.

The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will report to the Executive Committee. The CIO provides strategic direction and oversight for the firm’s investment management strategy, platforms, and portfolios. The CIO is expected to serve as the investment face of the firm and is responsible the development, implementation, and management of all personnel and operations within the department. In addition, the CIO is responsible for managing investor relations with external portfolio managers, custodians, sponsors, and suppliers.

We are looking for a hands-on leader with exceptional client interfacing talent, alternative investment diligence experience and who can develop and manage of a team up to six personnel, while also acting in the “sales” capacity of interfacing with clients and prospects regarding our Investment Management capabilities and differentiators.

This role will have hands on responsibility for sourcing and vetting private investment opportunities and candidates without deep alternatives experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and leading a team of investment department professionals
  • Serve as subject matter expert to current and prospective clients
  • Investment Communications internally and externally
  • Leads the Investment Committee
  • Accountable for firm’s Investment policy

Requirements:

  • CFA highly preferred
  • Experience as a CIO highly preferred and experience growing a team/investment department
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and presentation abilities

Compensation: Attractive compensation package with base salary and bonus. Equity potential.
