Judson Group has partnered with a growing RIA in the search for a Chief Operating Officer. This individual provides executive leadership in conjunction with the CEO and Executive Team and is charged with overseeing and coordinating the firm’s day-to-day management, with an initial focus on the wealth planning department. This position takes a leadership role in the vision and strategic plans within each department of the firm to help shape its future growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and managerial ownership of the firm’s day-to-day business functions.
  • In conjunction with the CEO and Executive Team, develop the ongoing business plan that implements the vision and strategic direction of the firm, including performance management, long range capacity and resource planning.
  • Initiate and oversee major strategic firm projects and assign responsibilities for management/implementation as needed.
  • Comprehensively monitor the firm’s day to day operations and implement necessary strategic adjustments to structure, process, systems and organizational capabilities.
  • Oversee and manage the resources required for the business’ current function and future growth.
  • Develop the organization and proactively supervise, manage and lead the team on a day-to¬≠-day basis.
  • Oversee the Wealth Planning department and manage the advisory teams.
  • Oversee recruitment, training and development of team members in the wealth planning department and coordinate with the other department heads to build out the firm’s capabilities.
  • Strategically integrate operational workflows with each department head to achieve greater efficiency and quality of care across the firm’s departments.
  • Work to ensure maximum and efficient use of the firm’s technology resources across the firm’s departments.
  • Together with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), oversee firm policies & procedures to assure they are consistent with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the firm’s relationships with external resource providers & vendors.

Requirements:

  • 10 + years of leadership and/or business management experience.
  • Bachelor’s in finance, economics or related academic discipline.
  • Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office; experience with CRM, and ideally some financial management or business planning systems.
