Judson Group, an executive search firm specializing in financial services including banking, credit unions, specialty finance companies and wealth management, recently hired Mark Huffman, a 17-year veteran in the financial recruiting and training arena, to meet the growing demands of their client base. The professionals at the Judson Group are prepared to meet such challenges of the new decade as macroeconomic changes and compliance burdens, and the addition of Huffman to the team paves the way for expansion.
As the owner of a full-cycle recruiting firm in the financial services industry, Huffman specialized in sourcing experienced advisors for his clients, as well as creating and executing individualized recruiting plans for their organizations. Previously he served as director of training and agency development at MassMutual.
Due to his background and experience, Huffman has garnered an impressive network of the industry’s top professionals. “Today’s clients want to feel a connection with their financial advisor that goes beyond the surface,” he says. “Most of these desirable candidates are not active job seekers so knowing who the players are and how to capture their attention is critical to successfully attracting them to a new position, especially when competition for them is so intense.”
Hunter Judson, president of the Judson Group, notes that demand for wealth management services continues to rise. “We strive to help our clients stay ahead of the talent gap that may be ahead as more wealth managers approach retirement,” he says. “The top candidates can afford to be choosy today so it’s vital that companies treat recruitment and retention as high priorities.”
