Judson Group has been retained by a well-respected, independent RIA to add a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to its growing wealth management practice. This position will be best suited for an individual with expertise in constructing and maintain conservative portfolio allocations for high net worth individuals.

We are seeking strong candidates that have at least five years of hands on fixed income experience.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in risk and credit management.  The role requires the construction, security selection, risk management, research, analysis and execution within multiple conservative investment strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Construct portfolios based on clients’ risk objectives. Involves security research, selection, execution and continued credit monitoring.
  • Monitor portfolios for deposits, withdrawals, strategy changes, corporate actions, and new strategy implementations to ensure allocation is in line with client goals.
  • Monitor portfolios for firm’s loss disciplines, credit situations, underperforming sectors and securities, legacy positions, and restrictions.
  • Perform research so that firm is optimally investing clients’ assets. This includes, market, sector, technical and fundamental analysis as well as ETF and mutual fund analysis.
  • Support the wealth management team by utilizing financial planning software to help develop and implement financial plans.
  • Maintain clear concise communication with the team’s Wealth Advisors.
  • Analyze returns against market benchmarks
  • Maintain risk management procedures to ensure principal preservation. This includes issuer reviews, account reviews, portfolio diversification reviews.
  • Support firm’s public relations. This include media interviews as well as written articles.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • CFA and/or other professional designations preferred
  • Must have demonstrated success in managing risk and credit.
  • 5+ years of Fixed Income experience, preferably working with portfolio construction for HNW clients.
  • Must be an outstanding communicator and self-starter.
  • Possess comprehensive Fixed Income and investment knowledge, as well as a thorough understanding of the wealth management industry.
