Judson Group has partnered with an expanding bank in the Houston area in the search for a VP, SVP Commercial Lender. Successful candidates should be excellent team players with a strong customer-focused personality.

Responsibilities:

• Focus on acquiring new business customers that range in size of 10MM-100MM in annual revenue.
• Book 15-20MM in lending each year after the first year.
• Build their book from scratch, will receive no existing book.
• Bring in 25% of deposits on what they have lent.
• Lender to produce average size loans of 2MM-5MM
• Focus on C & I 70% and real estate 30%
• Manage the profitability of their book of business and monitor and assess risk of their credits.
• Prospect new customers and have strong pipeline.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• 5+ years successful credit experience. Some formal credit training.
• Strong sales skills and highly motivated.
• Community banking experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills and organizational skills needed to handle work in an efficient manner. High degree of initiative and personal drive.

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus bonus
